With this event we are moving beyond our introductory Learn to Curl program and introducing a program for league curlers to improve their curling techniques, etiquette, and strategy. This event will be taught by our best and most experienced curlers including Garrett Turner (BCC President and a curler since he was a kid), Bruce Richardson (skip of the Sharpshooter and definitely our most experienced and successful curler in the club) among others.

This event will take place from 12:15 to 1:30 on Sunday Feb 11th between the 1st and 2nd draws of the Sunday League. 

The agenda for the instruction includes:

1 - General conduct on the ice, where should everyone be and not be, simple ethics, courtesy, and behavior (like not talking or moving too much when someone is shooting, etc.)  Not standing/walking down the center of the ice. Short, 5-10 min.

2- General curling strategy. Simply, what shot to call in typical situations. 

3- How to call a shot. What the skip does, how team members react.

4- Sweeping, sweepers are responsible, skip doesn't know rock speed until it is well down the ice. 

5- The basics of stone delivery.
